Yes, it’s really true: from now on, you can choose the topics of your learning journey flexibly and individually! Find out everything you need to know about skill-based learning – from the why to the changes and the impact on your progress and assessment.

Why did we change the learning journey?

We care about improvement. Although we had many ideas ourselves, we started asking our users for their honest and constructive feedback.

Over the past six months, we have realized that our content structure needs to be revised. This is because we often received feedback that users (have to) spend too long in a single competence and are unable to switch topics. In addition, some felt restricted by the methodology (up to 2 modules per week), as they do not always have the same amount of time and focus for their personal development.

… and we heard you!

So, what’s new?

From now on, you can choose the topics you’d like to work on.

Let’s start with an example:

Since you have to give an important presentation in front of a customer next month, you pick the skill “present”. Afterward, you might switch to “be customer centered” to work on how to focus on your customer’s needs.

You’ll still get the same great educational content we’re known for, but structured for your usage. With our new structure, you’ll be able to change your focus every time you complete a Topic and will be able to move between Competences and Skills freely each time you choose. We will, of course, continue to offer our recommendation on where you should be learning next, but you’ll have the choice to define your own path.

This new working model allows you to complete up to three Topics per week. For those of you who are only occasionally able to find time this will allow you to focus when you can, and stay caught up in your Learning Journey. But there’s no pressure, so take all the time you need to work through your chosen Topic!

What does this mean for my progress?

Your progress is not lost. All the content that you have already completed in the modules of the previous learning journey will be displayed as already completed. A very important point at this point: The Leaders21 platform is your companion for continuous development – not a course with a specific end. We will always provide new topics or deep dive content and work on the formats to offer you the best possible learning experience.

You will also see changes in the “My Progress” section and gradual updates in the “Assessment” section over the next few weeks. We ask for your understanding and patience as we work to make this as smooth as possible!

We hope that all these changes will improve the platform’s experience and we look forward to your feedback on these changes.
