Yes, otherwise we would not have defined it as one of the seven core competencies in our 21st Century Skill Model. Keep scrolling to read more about your impact on success and performance!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What we mean by competencies and skills in our 21st Century Skill Model, you can <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leaders21.com\/en\/blog\/21st-century-skills\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">read here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Power of Performance\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Yes, even in an age in which we place people orientation above task orientation, performance is needed. But what is performance actually? In simple terms, for us it is about <strong>maintaining a high level of performance<\/strong> as an individual or together as a team <strong>over a long period of time and achieving above-average results<\/strong>. We&#8217;re not talking about overwork or burnout here, of course, but primarily about efficiency and effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>The definition is probably no surprise, but it begs the question: <strong>how does this work in reality and how does my team become performance-oriented?<\/strong> To give you a better insight into how you can increase your own performance, that of your team or even your company, we introduce you to the three associated skills. With your performance orientation you are expert when it comes to setting goals, prioritizing or thinking digitally.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More Performance with just 3 Skills<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>&#8220;think digital&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You don&#8217;t have to think in 1011011001 to acquire this skill. What we mean here is a certain <strong>understanding of the digital world, digital business models and the resulting benefits for your company<\/strong>. Being able to understand the diversity of the digital now and be prepared for the digital future is not just C-level work, but can also improve the performance of your own work steps. One thing is for sure: <strong>digitalization affects every industry and every business<\/strong>, whether you offer a trading app for cryptocurrencies or sell gummy bears.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>\u00a0&#8220;prioritize&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since we are already on the topic of gummy bears, who hasn&#8217;t experienced the difficult decision between red or green gummy bears? In business, there are countless, often very important decisions to be made and the &#8216;right&#8217; option to be chosen. <strong>To keep your focus on the relevant tasks or decisions, prioritization is needed<\/strong>. And yes, you can learn how to prioritize consciously and thus increase your performance (but of course also the performance of the team or company).<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>&#8220;set goals&#8221;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have thought digitally, you prioritized the right tasks. But that doesn&#8217;t mean performance is just going to happen now. It takes goals, and well thought out and defined goals at that.\u00a0 They form the basis for performance in the company: They set the direction and make success measurable.
